Building Instructional Leadership Capacity for Principals & Assistant Principals
OLi4 Overview
OLi4 is a two-year professional learning program designed to build your instructional leadership capacity using evidence-based strategies, team collaboration, and expert coaching.
OLi4 participants progress through the program as part of a cohort, learning with and from other school leaders, receive targeted professional development, technical assistance in applying what they learn, and one-on-one monthly coaching from a trained coach. This work builds their capacity to:
- Prioritize student learning;
- Create organizational structures that improve the collective instructional capacity of the school faculty to meet student learning needs;
- Hold all educators accountable for supporting the improvement of literacy and math achievement;
- Ensure that all resources, including personnel and time, are aligned with and focused on instructional practice and student learning; and
- Work alongside teachers to solve problems, use data effectively, and ensure that every student receives core instruction and any additional needed supports.
What to Expect
This learning series includes a combination of virtual and in-person participation in centralized and regional professional learning and individual leadership performance coaching. Participants advance through the series as part of a cohort, learning from experts and peers as they apply research and evidence-based instructional leadership strategies to facilitate the work of collaborative leadership teams and to foster teacher learning and instructional improvement on behalf of all children.
