Inclusive instructional leadership (IIL) supports educators in school districts and schools to promote high levels of learning for all students, including students with learning challenges and/or those receiving special education services. It focuses on instructional leadership through the use of four key strategies – (1) promote systemwide learning, (2) prioritize teaching and learning, (3) build capacity through support and accountability, and (4) sustain an open and collaborative culture – that are actualized through the use of leadership teams [e.g., district teams, building teams, teacher-based teams, PLCs, etc.].
